National Security and Nuclear Weapons Policy Issues Research
I am researching the depth of technical expertise required of those who lead and manage organizations in highly technical and potentially dangerous industries (e.g., nuclear weapons, nuclear power, off-shore oil platform operations, military operations, Explosive Ordnance Disposal, National Security operations and strategy).
Colonel (Ret) Larry Chandler, PhD
As a practitioner−scholar, I have experience in military management, leadership, and research; as an entrepreneur; and more than 20 years of experience as both a student and instructor at the university level. Having served in the Air Force as an airman, a Master Sergeant, and a Colonel, I am a lifelong learner. My experience also includes 35 years of successful leadership and management experience in aircraft and munitions maintenance (nuclear and conventional) and Explosive Ordnance Disposal organizations. In 2011, I founded Aviation Resources, LLC, a management and technical consulting company to provide research, analysis, and marketing services to small manufacturing companies and to present educational seminars on aviation-related topics. My primary teaching and research interests are in leadership and management competencies relevant to profit and non-profit organizations as well as government and military organizations.
